TEARS FOR GEARS
For two short years in the mid
1950s, high-performance European sports cars tore it up right
here in the Santa Monica Mountains at one of the nation’s
most popular sports-car racing courses, Paramount Race Track,
a magnet for world-class drivers and Hollywood stars alike.
When tragedy struck, it shuttered, never to reopen, but its
memory lingers so strongly among racing aficionados that on
the eve of Paramount Race Track’s 50th anniversary,
those who were there are still lamenting its loss

HOME IS WHERE THE HUNK IS

You might expect a strapping single
star like Antonio Sabato, Jr., to make his home in the heart
of Hollywood, but the muscular, motorcycle-mad family man
prefers the West Valley, where the primo schools and safe
surroundings are ideal for his kids and the rolling scenery
never fails to remind him of his native Italy. |
